[Below the dance floor, two mischievous boys have found their way into the breaker room in search of the school's primary fuse box. Soon, all the happy prom goers will find themselves stumbling around in the dark while Slugger and Pokey gleefully escape the scene.

Or such is the plan, anyway, if they can first locate the fuse box---the lighting is poor down here. Slugger gives Pokey's jacket collar a tug.]

[Pokey just bumbles after Slugger as he tugs him. Usually, he'd be pissed at being dragged around like this, but honestly? The thought of screwing with everyone on the dance floor kind of keeps him from getting too angry.]

Yeah yeah yeah. Gimme a minute...

[He continues to follow, but fumbles in his pocket for his lighter. Hey, any extra light would probably be helpful down here.]

[The tiny flame is a big help. In it's light, they now have a visibility range of about six feet and can avoid tripping over a pipe sticking up out of the floor. Ahead of them lies an unexplored hallway lined with conduits, electrical wiring, and the occasional cobweb. Bass hits from the music and faint voices continuously filter down from above.

With any luck, screams of panic will seep through just as easily when the power is cut. At Pokey's side, Slugger grins at the thought as they venture forward.]

[Pokey just grins wider as he sees them getting closer to the breaker. This is going to be hysterical. He tries to shrug off the hand Slugger had been using to guide him now that he can see, determined on taking the lead.]

You know, the only thing I regret? I'm not going to get to see the looks on some of their faces.

[At the shrugging, Slugger realizes Pokey's jacket is still in his grasp and instantly lets go.]

Got some enemies here?

[The hall leads to a dead end where the fuse box is embedded like a tall locker. It's cover panel is left unlocked and slightly ajar.]

[Pokey actually remains silent for a moment, before, finally, responding.]

....No. Not really.

[And crap, it feels so weird actually saying that. He doesn't have enemies here. The only ones he considers enemies are their captors. And that is just....he doesn't know where to begin. It's been so long since he hasn't thought he had enemies all around him.]

Here stupid. Help me look for the circuit breaker.

The ones on the bottom are for the classrooms. Try the top left.

[Surprised? Be thankful she's not holding the poker. Susan's tone is mild as she levels a placid gaze at the two miscreants.]

[Slugger is on his toes trying to skim through the labeled switches on top when he hears Susan's voice like an icy finger in his ear. Getting caught isn't something he considers very often and it clearly shows in the way he turns to Pokey with a bewildered stare.

What now?!]

[Pokey, for his part, just stares at Susan for a moment before pointing to Slugger.]

He thought of it.

[The thought of pulling the switch anyway crosses Slugger's mind... and then quickly passes through as he reminds himself who it is they're dealing with. After shooting a glare at Pokey, he turns to Susan.]

...Energy conservation.

[Maintaining a straight face has suddenly become a challenge.]
