I sort of love how you explore the actual horror and sadness of both what the game has done to Earth in Rose's universe and what the Condesce did to it in Roxy's - but in a very IC, teenage (and I don't mean that in a derogatory way at all) way. Also the awkwardness Rose has around what Roxy means to her and who she is. I love stories that approach this!
And with the first one I really like how you give such a sense of "so much history, so much pain, and what's the point of holding onto a grudge now?", as it were. I think it has a sad, burnt-out feeling to it (again, in a good way!) and I really like how you use physicality to show that.
I think it's pretty interesting to compare, especially at this stage, because it's been a long time since Mom's death and since she last saw her alive. She's had time to think, but she's still got a lot to get through, and Roxy is a completely different person, but still the same person in lots of ways.
Yeah. I don't think it would be like Karkat going 'yeah, so I'm super pale 4 u forever' and I think it would be hard to let go of animosity, even if Gamzee has been a victim in lots of ways, but, like, there's a kind of tension drop, there. Because things have ended up more vague when it comes to Gamzee.
Yes - and I love the sense of perspective but also remaining sadness you have going there. It's considered, but in some ways it's sadder because of all the other things that have happened.
Yes. I really like that there's no loss of the sense of darkness and, uh, loss that I imagine would be present. It's not "everything's fine now!" more "well... this is where we are and what we have to work with."
