Mumps?!?

I just heard a rumor than a nurse at my hospital was diagnosed today.
Mumps takes 10 days to incubate.

I'm getting married in 16 days.

So help me God, if I am a gross, swollen, lumpy mess for my wedding pictures, SOMEONE is going to die! *whimper*

I thought I was so prepared here. I have medication to suppress cold sores. I have soaps for acne. I have echinecea and vitamins to ward off illness. So naturally, we have a mumps outbreak.

*sigh* God has a wicked sense of humor, you know that?

In general, pretty decent. This week - damn freakin' lousy. J's step mom has been sick since Sunday. I haven't been too great and J is also bleh (and he has a CF clinic appointment tomorrow morning). Last night my dad and I went down to help Pam with the giving the puppies their 6-week vaccines. After we finished, we had to take her to the ER, where she was admitted and is still in today. So, running the hour each way to check in on her and take care of the puppies... it's going to be more tiring. Plus, they don't know exactly what's wrong or when she'll get out. I need to make an icon with the picture of the puppy we're getting!

If I see your wedding pictures and you look strangeley like Marlon Brando in "The Godfather," I'll know why.

Bryan and I are registered at Bed Bath and Beyond, Target, and Boston Store

And nope, no mumps. The MMR booster had pretty much already killed that by the time I came along. I did have the chicken pox though.

I actually saw your registries while searching for those belonging to two other people I know who are getting married. Ironically, all three of you have your weddings on the exact.same.day.
