Oh, thank you. I'm so glad you liked it, and that line struck you. It's hard not to love the Winchester boys and their obvious care for each other. ♥

This was beautiful. It was comforting and peaceful and cheering and, just, wow.

I like how Castiel's unplanned way of comforting was different for Sam than it was for Dean. Like Dean wanted some sort of confirmation that what had happened and been said during that week was still valid, and thus being reminded of stuff they had done before. Sam offered Castiel punch, and he couldn't taste it the way he'd used to, but he gave Sam something new to hold onto in the here and now.

Sam's introspection of them being mirrors of each other's light was thoughtful, thought-provoking, and very, very nice.

(By the way, the carol lyrics intersperced throughout the story were an awesome touch. They added atmosphere, and their effect somehow changed with the story's progress. :3)

Thank you for your insight! You're right--Dean and Sam definitely needed very different things in their visits with Castiel, and he, being who he is, was able to provide them. I'm glad you liked the carol lyrics, too. :D I enjoyed using that little device.

And Castiel knows what they need because he's aweosme that way. He probably doesn't realize just how much the brothers need him and what he does specificall, too--'can't see his own light' and all that. :B

They were all mirrors, Sam thought suddenly. Mirrors reflecting light back on each other, seeing it in each other and unable to see their own.

What a powerful consideration youmake! I love when someone takes a truth that I know on a subliminal level and makes it somethins as powerful as this line.
I loved all the story, really, Sam's quiet sadness and Castiel 'brilliance' and that kiss. But I'm still faliling about that line.

Oh, thank you! I'm so glad that line struck you. It seems true to me--so often we see the good in each other more clearly than we see our own, and this seems particularly true of Dean and Sam. ♥

I <3 Sammy moping after Castiel and Castiel coming to comfort him. Like Dean needed swings, Sam needed the acknowledgement and the kiss was so adorable! Cas was changed by the experience, but he wasn't the only one, and I love him coming to make it better. ^_____^

In conclusion, this was everything I wanted and more! *huggles*

Oh, I'm so glad you liked it! ::bounces:: Yes, all three of them were changed by the experience, become closer, knit together, and Sam needed to be acknowledged. I enjoyed working in the mistletoe, too--never would have done it without your prompt. :D

Oh, that was perfect. I loved that Castiel still remembers enough of being human to come and help assure Sam. The kiss/benediction was just what Sam needs (still scared of his power, his relationship with his brother, what's going to happen next) and it was just perfect.

The ending, of course, was pure SPN goodness (Sammy is a multi-talented boys!)

Thanks for sharing :D

Oh, Sammy... His needs are all knotted up like a pretzel inside him, this power and his worries for his brother and the future and demons and angels... Yes, I loved giving him a little bit of reassurance, and little bit of approval and affection.

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.
