As a once-upon-a-time potter myself, I can really get into the moment you've created here. Lovely and reflective, and so much told in such a small space! Well done.

Yay! I've also done a little bit of terra cotta work, and it was fun to tap into those sense-memories. I'm glad the story worked for you.

This is delightful. Both poignant and sweet.

And yet everyday, he starts again... As Daniel would say, "interesting...".

A mark of Jack's continued persistence and stubbornness, I think. :) Thanks for reading!

I've always sympathized with how frustrating WoO must have been for Jack (and Teal'c) with all the repeating, but I've never really thought too much on how the lack of permanence would be equally frustrating. Apart from with each other, none of their relationships would change or evolve, no one would grow to understand them better, and they could never make a mark. Yikes.

Nice job making me get all thinky with a mere 100 words.

Huzzah! This is exactly what I wanted to get across with this little moment. I meant the pot to be a sort of metaphor for everything Jack tries to accomplish during every loop, his work being constantly scattered and lost every time the day restarts. I'm absolutely delighted that you were able to draw out the same thoughts. :D

And so you should be delighted. You managed to get across a rather profound concept in a drabble. To quote someone who's always profound: "Sweet!"

VERY successfully done.

Huh. Jack has never been good at the transient - he may have gained skills, but he loses all that effort. And isn't it just like Jack to persist at something, despite the constant loss?

Nice work!

Yep, that's our Jack. :)

Thanks! I'm so glad you liked it.
