I really like seeing what Jack thinks about the Winchester childhood -- how Jack is the the kind of guy who could be a hunter but how Sam and Dean would have probably grown up a lot different if Jack had been their dad.

I find it very intriguing to contemplate the similarities and the differences in how Jack and John would react to the same circumstances. Jack has always shown such an instinctive aptitude for fatherhood in various SG-1 episodes--it's a tragedy that his own son is gone. Thanks for reading! I'm glad you liked the story.

Oh, I loved this, squeezes in front of "Cold & Lonely" perfectly and even tidies it up all the better ;)

Loved Jack's unsettled thoughts about Dean's upbringing... it makes the father/son hug later that much more poignant and heartwarming. Loved the banter about the watcher in the woods too.

YES! This makes my Monday all better. I just love the bonding between the guys, and I really appreciated how even though Jack disapproves of John's way of raising the boys, he doesn't let on to Dean. I just adore how protective Jack has become of Dean.

I wonder who is watching the guys. I'm betting on big bads from the SG-1 universe.
