Very cute! Each one trying so hard to protect the other. I can't help but feel sorry for them--they shouldn't have to grow up that fast.

There is a sadness there for me, too. This story, to me, has shades of Something Wicked, with Dean so desperate to keep Sam safe. He must have been so scared, every time after that, knowing that the monsters were out there and it was his job to protect his brother. An unfair burden for one so young.

But it's gonna be okay, this time, cuz Sammy's on the look out. :)
