I think I'm over halfway done with this story now. I'm thinking maybe twelve, thirteen, fourteen chapters altogether. I've been having a little trouble pulling the plot together, especially since Dean would still much rather ANGST instead of snarking at Jack like I want him to, but I think I've got it now.

Oh, man, I have soooo many ideas for what kind of conversation Jack and Daniel would have about this. In fact, I think Daniel will make a cameo in the next chapter. The look on his face is just too priceless not to share.

I'm glad you liked that line. :D It seemed like the kind of metaphor Jack would use in his head, and so appropriate to describe Dean.

Love the officer attudide from Jack and the solider from Dean. Love more Dean trouble in accepting someone whoes not not family.

Also forgot to leave a comment for the Narnia cross . The power of a willing sacrfice is one of my favroutie myths. It was a well writen complleing sloution

Thanks! You're right--Jack is very much a commander while Dean is very much a soldier in how they act and think.

And I'm glad you liked the Narnia cross, too. I must admit that I, too, am very fond of that solution to Dean's dilemma. He just loves his brother so freakin' much, it seems like that ought to count for something.

Hee! It is indeed an epic tale of love and loss and sweet reunion. I LOVED his moment in the latest episode, calling the car "sweetheart" and just looking so very glad to see her again.

And sometimes Jack just HAS to be an obnoxious jerk. :) It's in his DNA, I think.
