Icon chosen because of ALL THE FREAKIN' QUESTIONS IN THIS CHAPTER! Agh. JacknDean are so suspicious, sometimes. I hope it's not boring or anything. It was harder to write than usual, partly because these guys are dab snippety stubborn and like to glare a lot and NOT TALK. ::shakes finger at recalcitrant characters:: Get along now, okay? I love you ( Read more... )

Fabulous. I love their plan. It hits all the appropriate points. I wonder if part of Jack's plan involves ringing Daniel for some research? :)

Hee! Probably. Now I want to write a scene with Jack and Daniel talking about ghosts. It would be hilarious. Daniel would be so non-plussed, and wonder if maybe Jack wasn't spending too much time alone with his imagination.

If Daniel's in the middle of a translation he'd probably answer Jack's question and then hours later wonder what that was about.

Awesome Jack&Dean dynamic. What it lacked in sarcastic wit it more than made up in mature, in-character, interactions. I loved that you didn't have them blurting out their entire life stories to each other and that you kept to Supernatural canon with having Dean not believe in vampires. Too many people forget that he didn't know they were real until he was 27.

Thanks! Characterization is really important to me. I think it's also important, for this story, that Dean is still somewhat raw and inexperienced. Despite everything he's done with his dad, I think John still shielded him from a lot of things. There's a lot of things Dean learns over the course of the TV series that he doesn't know at this point.

Yay JackNDean! I love them sharing stuff, and find they're more alike than either of them could've thought. I can't wait to see them working together, it's gonna be awesome! :D

Thanks! I'm really looking forward to writing Jack n Dean as a team. It's definitely not going to be smooth. :)

Aww Dean. This wasn't his choice, never would have been. This line broke me. Seriously. Poor Dean. He got into it and did it because it was what his Dad did, what his Dad became. But damn. Still hurts.

Another great chapter. I like your exchange of information (or lack of) between Dean and Jack.

And I'm glad that Jack isn't going to leave Dean on his own, that he realized Dean needed help.

I am looking forward to the next chapter :)

Thank you. That little bit with Dean really pricked my heart, too. If there's anyone in the world who DOESN'T want to be a loner, ever, it's Dean Winchester.

Oh Jack and Dean. Sometimes their interation is the easiest thing in the world to write, and sometimes it's not. At all. :)
