Oh that is lovely.

I'm terribly jealous of those who can vid. Well done.

It's more hard work than talent from me, I think. I can't do art, but I can find and trim clips and put them with music. I'm terribly jealous of those who can draw. :)

Thank you. I'm glad you liked it.

Bah, anyone who says that compiling, trimming, arranging, and timing visual images, moving or not, with an audio soundtrack isn't art is full of it. It's just a different kind of art than drawing.

One that requires equipment that I don't have access to and patience that I'm frequently lacking. Thus, jealooooous!

It did take a looooottt of work to gather equipment, so to speak. A number of programs, a lot of research and practice. And reading websites about codecs to figure out why I only saw a blank screen and how to stretch squished clips and on and on. :D As I keep making them, though, they do get easier. This is my seventh fanvid and definitely the best so far. I've got a handle on my current program, now. If only it worked the way it was supposed to 100% of the time, I'd be golden!

And patience, yes. I made myself thoroughly sick of this song in going over and over it many many times.

Gorgeous vid. I just love the way the end of the song coincides with cas sinking into the water for the last time (I got a bit misty), and how the refrain of "join us" is so central to Castiel's character arc. Much love.

Thank you! That was very much what made want to vid this song, how it is all about coming together and breaking apart. ::sniff:: I got misty at certain points while making it.

This was fabulous. I find my musical taste rarely converges with that of fanvidders, so I'm always SUUPER excited to find a well made vid with music I like. I really like this song! Might even look these guys up. And I love how you play on the lyrics, of Joining a band, and then the band breaking up. And I ALSO love how this is about the boys too, and how they invite him into the fold and make him feel accepted, and Cas's reaction to that, among other things

Ah yes, I do find that many vids tend toward the poppy end of the spectrum, which is not my favorite. And so when I hear a beautiful folk-rock song like this, I really want to make something with it. That's why I make fanmixes, too. :)

There's another song on this album that I want to turn into a vid, but that one is more fast-paced and intense and will be a bit more difficult, and the concept I have for it is a bit more abstract. We'll see. I really love Burlap to Cashmere and I recommend checking them out, for sure.

The boys are very important to why I like Castiel and his story. I just love the three of them coming together and working together, and I'll never get tired of teamy fanworks with the three of them.
