How wonderfully hopeful. The ending epigraph (is that even what you call it if it isn't at the beginning?) made me tear up just a little; perfect. I also did not expect to like the idea of Dean working at a furniture factory, but the way you frame it, making things with his hands for people to use, gives it a weight and a legitimacy that I wouldn't have thought of.

The progression of this is lovely, that gradual journey through denial and finally getting it out in the open so it can heal. That never happens easily for Dean, but I'd like to think he maybe could actually learn to live without Sam. You make it look possible.

Thank you for this.

I've been working at a furniture factory this summer (in the office, though), and most of my family has or does work there in some capacity, including my teenage brother Andrew, who works in final assembly when they need him. I have a great appreciation for these hardworking, blue collar folks and all that they do. ♥ They're wonderful people, and I could see Dean thriving there, reluctantly. I'm glad you liked that part.

Thank you so much! Dean without Sam is one of the worst things I can imagine. I'm glad he won't have to live this way forever in canon. :)

That was so unbelievably sweet... Cas should do this once a year with him. Then stay for dinner. Gah, your stuff is always so good! Just adore your imagery...

Aren't they such lovely friends? :) And yes, yearly road-trip-followed-by-dinner would be wonderful. Thank you!

Thank you so much! At first I planned for Castiel to mention that Bible verse in a conversation with Dean, but it the end it seemed better this way. Glad you liked it. :D
