Wow. The panic, the inability to tell when and where, and then the relief when it comes is so intense. I attach colours to things in my mind, and the part with him in the box, I kid you not, came across practically monochrome. As soon as they let him out, the colour came back.

Beautiful.

Hey, someone out there like me! I attach colors to things a lot too. The other day I was listening to Sweet Child Of Mine, and all I could see in my head was a darkish orange. I actually really enjoy the colors :) It makes me feel more artistic

Awesome. :D I think my whole family is mildly synesthetic, because we used to argue over the colours of the alphabet and numbers and stuff.

I had never heard of synesthesia before...but now that I have, I'm looking into it. I'm almost positive that I'm synesthetic, and I do so enjoy learning about psychological stuff.

Yeah, the colour thing seems to be a pretty good indicator. :P I've also heard of a person who smelled colours - she hated a particular shade of purple because it smelled terrible. Or something like that. My ear training teacher in university (I went for music) was really interested in synesthesia; I learned most of what I know from her.

Dude, you did a fantastic job illustrating the terror Castiel feels. Incredible! This fic is tangible in its horror and actually raised my heartrate. And the relief of Dean and Sam finding him is just wonderful.

That was pretty intense. I feel for Castiel. I can't remember having a major panic attack, but take the tiny one's I've had and magnify that with magic mojo? Holy freak, I'm terrified just thinking about it
