Once it was plants in fields, buds turned up in hallelujah to the sky. Now it's cotton fibers knit tight, stained with chemicals, chopped roughly, put back together nothing like it was. Far less complex than it was, far less beautiful, far less. One day it will be useless, fall apart, decay in landfill. Then gone, nowhere, not by volition. Terrifyingly transient for such an innocuous object, in his hand it threatens.

But Dean asked. So Castiel takes off Jimmy's shirt, and puts on his own.

Oh wow, this is powerful stuff! I love it - thank you for filling my prompt! Like chibifrieza said before me, it's haunting, and I love how Cas took Jimmy's shirt off and put on his own! I also love the descriptions in place too - how you managed to convery so much in so few words. (and kudos to you for it being your first drabble too - I wouldn't have known, to be honest! XD )

Thanks for the prompt! I want him to have his own clothes! And go clothes shopping with the Winchesters and Dead to be worried about how gay it looks and Cas not knowing what size socks he needs. XD

Oh, man. This is Castiel's first personal possession, isn't it? And he takes it because Dean asked...and it's perishable, unlike the vessel he's occupied. Something so simple should not leave me verklempt.
