This is adorable, and shows the love the boys feel for Cas.

Although I would think thay would have stranger birthday rituals, considering how they grew up...or maybe John wanted to give them a shred of normalcy? (FYI, I went to a birthday party today. Didn't get to hit the pinata though :( BUT I GOT CANDY!!!!!)

I sort of doubt the boys got much for birthday parties at all, growing up. But I'm sure they knew what other kids got to do. :( I was a bit inspired by "A Very Supernatural Christmas" with this fic, actually.

Ahhhhhhh, WONDERFUL. :D In some ways Castiel reminds me of Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory. I feel like if Sam and Dean tell him, "This is a normal part of being a social human and you need to deal with it," he would. :D

Love the big bird pinata!

And yeah, even John didn't give the boys good birthdays, I bet they would do what they could to give Cas a good one, just 'cause. ♥

LOL, Cas is a little like Sheldon, but I never thought of that before! He's like Sheldon, although... believes in god. And drinks more alcohol. :D

Sam and Dean would totally give Cas an awesome birthday party. Even if they didn't get to have one themselves. Oh hey... maybe that's why they are so adamant that Cas keep on the party hat! *having thoughts now I should've had before...*

I love the mental image of this scene, and I'm imagining Castiel hitting the pinata with all his angelic force and just decimating the candy inside, much to Dean's chagrin.

Hopefully Cas will not feel too bad about his angel mojo being lessened, so he is unable to heal the candy. Sam will have to distract him with birthday hugs.
