Usual caveat lector: I am pro-pretty-much-everybody. Yes, even him. I especially love Dean. And Sam. And Castiel. And Bobby. And John. And Ellen. And Jo. And Ruby. And Bela. And Andy, Ash, Ava, Gordon, Victor, Rufus, Jimmy, Amelia, Claire, Anna, Zachariah, Uriel, Sarah, Lucas, Ben, Lisa, Kubrick, Travis, Jim, Caleb, Josh, Jefferson, Rumsfeld... Um

The number 4: "Four: The symbolic meaning of number Four deals with stability and invokes the grounded nature of all things. Consider the four seasons, four directions, four elements all these amazingly powerful essences wrapped up in the nice square package of Four. Fours represent solidity, calmness, and home. A recurrence of Four in your life may signify the need to get back to your roots, center yourself, or even "plant" yourself. Fours also indicate a need for persistence and endurance ( ... )

In either case Sam could have won with four threes or twos, and the door could have been blank (the rest of that warehouse was pretty derelict).
Either way I'm inclined to believe that its been included on purpose. I'm just not sure why ...

Or it could just be, like someone noted, that it's two pairs of brothers--Sam and Dean, Michael and Lucifer.
And Gabriel and Castiel, maybe. :D
Thanks so much! I'm glad you enjoyed the review. I hope we see Tricky McGee again. He's definitely the sneaky type, so maybe he'll do one of those last-minute things and turn the situation on its head. It'll be fun to see.
And you're right that it was definitely a very (mean) brotherly dynamic between him and Cas. Poor Castiel, always getting picked on. ::pets him::

Anyway, I love the pics you grabbed. You got so many good faces and I especially love some of the Sam faces you got! I tend to love the Dean faces more, usually, but that earnest Sam face and his face during surgery? WIN!
Reflections and mirrors, above and below, big brothers and little brothers. Oh, show. Oh, boys. Oh, world. We are all kind of headed for the crapper, aren't we?
Marry me? I love that shot, and you've put so much more meaning behind it; saying things I couldn't find words for. <3 ( ... )

The reflection shot struck me very strongly, but it took me awhile to figure out what it was about it that grabbed my attention. You have to figure they did it on purpose--I imagine it's pretty difficult to shoot with a huge puddle of water in the way, and they could have just made the warehouse empty, after all. So I think the image was purposeful. It certainly was arresting and interesting and lovely, in a bleak way.
The ep did seem to end sort of abruptly, didn't it? I wish we'd gotten that wide shot. ::sigh::

That moment at the end with Castiel made me sad too -- the episode ends before it's clear whether he got into the back seat with them or he just vanished on his own. I have this theory that when Castiel said he couldn't heal any more, he also can't heal himself the way he once could. So yeah, there needs to be h/c fic (and I have a half-formed idea in my brain for one but so far it is not happening).

Agreed on the half-formed ideas. the real problem is that it keeps wanting to turn into Longfic with Plot in my head, and c'mon, brain, I just want a shorty!
