A conversation at D&D tonight reminded me of this. It's, like, five of my favorite things all smushed together. A fanvid with funny clips from Cowboy Bebop set to Relient K doing a silly song from VeggieTales. I mean, what more can you ask for, right?

I'd love to see a Firefly vid set to the same song. I wonder if that would even work ( Read more... )

Oh dude, the end card just makes it perfect.

I totally need to rewatch Cowboy Bebop. But I have this terrible fear that it just won't be the same if I watch it when I'm not completely stoned. . . .

Heh, well, I watched it not-high and sober and I loved it, so that might be a clue. (Christian college student at a Christian college where we sighed a contract, the "Life Together Covenant," that I wouldn't drink or gamble or dance socially. No seriously. And it didn't even bother me.)

Ah, see, I went to a total hippie school, and the semester I watched CBBB, I was living in the hippie dorm of the hippie school.

There was a mural of Bob Marley in there and everything. . . .

It's an anime series about a future in which Earth is an abandoned wasteland and the rest of the solar system has been settled. It's a mixture of scifi and jazz and a little touch of cowboy. The Bebop is a ship on which live a bunch of bounty hunters--Jet, Spike, Faye, Ed, and the dog, Ein. It has fantastic music and interesting plots and it's just beautiful, truly. One of my favorite shows of all time.

I bought the entirety of Cowboy Bebop several months back - I only got about 6 eps in, but I felt like it was getting good. I should really finish those ...

I could TOTALLY vid that if I had Firefly clips. :)

Oh, man, Bebop is SO good. It transcends anime. It transcends a lot of things. It's transcendental. You haven't even gotten into the meat of it, for reals. Mushroom Samba! Heavy Metal Woman! Gateway Shuffle! Sympathy for the Devil!

I love Firefly and I miss it. ::sigh::

A good episode, but kinda weird.

The only story arc I didn't really like was the two-parter with Jupiter in the title, can't remember where it is exactly in the series. But that's just because of some Japanese weirdness that, imo, didn't really fit the feeling of the series.

Heh, I dunno, since I don't own slash goggles. But my guess is that Spike and Jet could be slashed by the determined.

Spike and Jet could totally be slashed. And Spike and his arch-nemesis guy whose name I do not recall (Vicious, maybe?) could be slashed pretty easy, too.

I mostly watched it for the Spike whump and Ed&Ein crack, though.
