Bah, I am depressed today. And it's my brother's graduation open house and we have family from two different states and friends from all over the area and I just want to go away, just be alone. And then I feel guilty for being antisocial and unhelpful, especially with all the work that needs done but I'm just. I don't want it.

I hate this feeling.

I hate it when I feel that way, too, and that feeling that later, you're going to want to have been social and sorta hate yourself for NOT being social when you could've but you just...couldn't. There wasn't energy, and all you want to do is disappear somewhere.

It just hit me all of a sudden, too. I was fine Saturday, and then WHAM. Ah well. It lightened up pretty quick.

depression is hard. Maybe you can help with the back stuff, you know restocking the food or cleaning up. That way you don't have to be social and it looks like you are helping out.

Yeah, I helped out a little bit, but not quite as much as my parents were expecting, I think. Still, there were plenty of willing hands.
