1. Ah, so I totally lied about not doing anything with my new twitter account. I've been posting there every day. Random stuff, mostly, but I find it amusing. It's a good outlet for those little bursts of frustration or glee that don't merit an actual blog post. F'r instance ( Read more... )

If your dad choked up over that scene in HP, you should get him Jim Beaver's book and a box of kleenex.

I enjoyed the HP books. Only read them cause my nephew, about 10 or 11 at the time, was reading them, and told me he'd read the first one four times. I had to see what could get a very active little boy to sit still that long! There is such wonderful stuff about families and friends that i cannot understand the idiots wanting to ban it as a "bad influence".

Got a twitter account, but haven't used it except to follow Misha, Jim, and Neil Gaiman. They keep me amused ;)

How did you like Terminator? I'm debating about going to movies to see it or waiting for the disc.

ah, that's okay. I really liked it! It felt different from the other Terminator movies, since it's not the present and it's not about a killer machine traveling from the future, more like a straight sci fi action blockbuster, but I didn't mind. The action sequences were all amazing, and I really liked the characters, especially young Kyle Reese. I liked Marcus and John and everybody else you meet along the way, though, too. It was very suspenseful and engaging.

I know a lot of critics are calling it mediocre, but whatever. I enjoyed myself thoroughly.

TEEN!KYLE! Ahem, that is all. :p Seriously, I just like knowing someone else squeed over him, too.

I SO TOTALLY DID. And so did the girl I went to see it with, Jenny. She seemed a bit ambivalent about the film as a whole (she writes movie reviews for her home town's newspaper so she sees a lot of them), but she was squeeing over Kyle, too.

Criminal Minds is so good. Spencer Reid is just about the most adorable thing ever and makes me want to squeeze him tight.

Also, I so badly want more Criminal Minds/Supernatural fics. There are a few out there, but not nearly enough :(

I read two amazing CM/SPN crossovers by, uh, kikimax, I think? Something like that. But yeah, haven't seen any besides those that appeal to me. I prefer gen, of course, so I haven't read the slash crossovers I came across.

The chapters aren't interlinked, so you'll have to work through the tags.

Y'know, for easy reference. Think I might go reread 'em myself. :)

buffyaddict13 is in the middle of writing an SPN/CM crossover that is, so far, very good. Gen, focus on Reid and...um, the other focus is kind of spoilery, so. :)

Anyway, just thought I'd drop that in.

Are there pictures of your furry babies? And how does having a rat work out with the cat? We have cats and I've not gotten a rat although I'd like to have one b/c I figured the cats would give the poor thing a heart attack.

There are pictures of my ratties here: my little friends. There might be more under the "rats" tag, too.

My cat is fairly unusual, I think--she doesn't react to my rodents at all, except to get up and move away, and occasionally hiss at them. She's just old and cranky. It really depends on your cats' personalities.

Rats are pretty bold, though. Most of them could probably handle being around cats.
