Why I actually pay good money for this man's writing:

And he gets it. I love when normal humans get it.

Sorry to butt in.
But I think it might be mildly insulting to Mr. Gaiman to call him normal :p
He is awesome and amazing, and yes I also buy his books, just so I can then lend them to my friends and create more Gaiman fans.

On the other hand it would be slightly hypocritical of him to say fanfic is bad. Just because it's public domain and he gets paid for it doesn't really make some of the stuff he writes NOT fanfic.
Still he is awesome and amazing and deserves worshiping. (also can we have more of the Smeagol-Gollum?)
K bye
(Loved your Sherlock fanfic that's how I got here; love you even more for appreciating Neil)

He's way normal - that's exactly WHY he's so awesome. And yes - I don't library him, or if I do, I follow up with a purchase. He deserves it. (Graveyard Book is perhaps the most adorable thing ever written). Also he DOES write fanfic, and makes no bones about it. (And thanks for the kind words on my/our fanfic (most of my Sherlock stuff is co-authored. Part three should start posting this week :D :D :D)

Neil Gaiman is AWESOME!

Sorry if I sounded disparaging. It was very early in the morning. My filters were a bit off, especially after having been woken up by my cats running over me.
The Graveyard Book made me so sad I'm no longer a kid, because I would have loved giving that book to a younger me, I probably would have grown up to love books even more then I currently do. And it made me cry just because it was ending. The most brilliant imagining of a werewolf ever, and she was from my country YEY!
(Oh My! New Fic! New Fic! New Fic! New Fic! You guys are amazing)
