Such a lovely write-up, and wonderful photos! Thank you for sharing.

I agree, Hugh is so much more relaxed and less nervous onstage now, I saw his Birmingham show last month and one of the very early shows in 2011, the skill and love for blues was always there but this year it was clear he was really enjoying himself.

Yes. HL looks very much more relaxed and at ease on stage, now. It's as if he's finally allowed himself to shamelessly embrace his bold, late decision to indulge his passion for music and has decided to live it to the fullest; which, for us, is something definitely enjoyable as well because the live moments we share appear more liberated and uncensored!
Way to go him! :)

Well, I am officially jealous now. Thanks for such a detailed review and for posting the pictures. If only he would come to New Orleans to do a show...

Hey! How are you? Long time, no see...
Thanks for reading. That concert was truly sensational and the atmosphere was great and charged with lots of positive vibes, indeed.

As for the future, I'm quite certain I've heard that HL and The Copper Bottom Band were scheduled for a tour in the US this fall so really, it'd be a SHAME if they didn't stop in New Orleans: the place where it all began and that HL seems to love so much.

Keep the faith, it's gonna happen! :))
