Photo Interlude - LONDON WEEK

Apr 30, 2011 19:47

Aaaaaaand.... it's done!: William married Kate and England celebrated its joy...
So although I was there last week, I thought it'd be more appropriate to share some of my pics now, as a tribute to this London week which surged half the globe yesterday.

London is an AMAZING city. I love it there. I love its subtle mix between craziness and restraint. ( Read more... )

Ugh, Camden? It's so filthy!
And London Eye? You're SUCH a tourist! :P
Oh, and there is Lisa Simpson giving head!

Nevertheless, nice pics :P

yeah, maybe it's a tourist thing, I don't care. you can catch THAT unique view of the city ONLY from there and when the sun is bright and the view is clear that's enough good a reason for me.

and btw, does that mean you never went up the Eiffel Tower either?
Gosh, you're so snob!
:P

I'm fond of Rome and Florence, myself. I also love Singapore, and Sydney. I was raised in the country, and still need solitude and serenity, but something about a large city is energizing. The only city I really dislike is Washington DC.

I'll be in London May 14-18 and Paris May 19-23. And I plan to do every tacky touristy thing there is to do in both of them.

I'm ashamed to say I don't know the East side of our planet. Never been to Australia, never been to Asia, never been to India... :( but that's something I really, really intend to FIX as soon as I can.

the farther I went in that direction was Uzbekhistan, which was magnificently picturesque and different though.

I was raised in the city. I'm a Parisian from head to toes. but my roots are in the country where my grand parents come from, so I love silence, nature up to the horizon and solitude too... ah solitude, if I hadn't that, I'd be mad. that's almost indecent to say but solitude is a real luxury I cultivate with passion... people are great, but they're greater when you can forget about them, to re-discover the pleasure of meeting them again...

and WHAT THE WHAT? you're coming to Paris in May, but 8 DAYS after Hugh's concert?? who will eat mini quiches on his abs then? ;)

It's so very sad, isn't it? Poor Hugh. He's in such denial about me.

Uzbekistan? You've really been?
