Placebo at Villa Manin, Udine, 03.09.2010

I arrived at Villa Manin at 3 pm - way too early as the barriers were only put up after 5 and it didn't matter at all who arrived when. The barriers were moved several times, God only knows why, and in the end we ended up way back down the road. The last time we were moved I actually ended up at the very front all squeezed and unable to move. We ( Read more... )

Maja:)

Hope you got my e-mail. I had an amazing time too and hey great photos!

My favorite moments where when Mr M. used that breath freshener trick to tease us poor souls, also when he came downstage to our end during Every Me, and was ridiculously close and seeing him do that thing he does where he kneels towards the speaker to further amplify the sound of his guitar. The effect this has on the sound is eerie and fascinating. I remember seeing him do it in Lady of the Flowers during The Black Sessions.

I had written something special about his music, and sent it with one of the bouncers. No idea if he got it. I hope so.
I loved the performance of Meds in particular, especially the trick he did with 'to' in "trying my best not to..." after which he paused and wouldn't finish. Beautiful. An evening I'll always remember.

Oh, hi! How did you manage to find my livejournal?
I got your email, I hope you got my response, I've been having some problems with my email lately.

I forgot about the breath freshener! That was great! He was teasing us on purpose, he knew exactly what he was doing. He was in a good mood.

Wow, when did you manage to do that? I hope he got it.
I don't normally like it when he pauses before the last word but that was good.
I really liked Steve. He looked so happy and energetic! That was the first time I saw him live.

Well, the first time I tried sending you an e-mail, I thought the "k" was an "e". When it bounced back, I wrote the account several times in Search, to make sure through results, which would be the correct one. First result when using the "k" was your journal and a story about our great evening ( ... )
