LOL, glad it's workin' for ya! I *should* be able to get ch 3 posted tomorrow night but then my weekend gets a little crazed so there will probably only be one update (ch 4, natch) until Monday rolls around and I can get back into nightly posts. Thx again!

Had every intention of reading your SPN fic. You just happened to dangle another interesting brother series, and distraction is going to happen.:D ( ... )

And Forged From the Pyre was so entertaining to the point that I've got to face it that I've just been sucked into another fandom. My co-writer has been as well. All that brother stuff, father stuff... what's not to love?Oh, thank-you! Katt and I are delighted you enjoyed the fic, especially knowing that you aren't as familiar with Lancer as most who would read the fic are. It was huge anyway so we didn't put in a lot of backstory/exposition for "newbies" except where it fell appropriately into the plot. did you watch the YouTube video I had linked? I can only imagine you did because if anything could suck someone into another brother fandom, those classic moments sure could LOL. The vidder included most of them but there still are a few left out that are adorable. I feel it's only fair to warn you though, if you do get sucked in to watch eps, the sad reality of this series is that it fairly quickly fell into "Johnny ep" vs "Scott ep" mode and we didn't get nearly enough brother-time over the course of the seasons. Rumor had it that ( ... )

The YouTube video?

*laughs*

Watched it after we read the fic. Adored it, and of course, we are watching the others that are available to view. Now we are researching on how to get a hold of the episodes. Know of a reliable resource?:D

Regarding WIPs? Ditto!:)

Know of a reliable resource?

I'm going to ask Jennie, the friend who did the copying for me but I'm pretty sure she no longer has the equipment due to a move. She might be able to provide a name/email though?

If I strike out there, I'll ask on the Lancer writer's list though I wouldn't be able to vouch for their reliability like I could Jennie. I'll definitely get back to you though.

Aaah, those YouTube excerpts... they sure kept me entertained the night I posted the story to this lj ;).

john totally watches ER quirkies December 3 2008, 05:41:35 UTC
the ER shout-outs make me deliriously happy. john being rusty at physical comfort feels almost as right as his gut parental reactions of worry, and reaching and protecting. and then there's the guilt, not a parental instinct so much as a winchester special. *sigh* (oh, dean!)
i'm loving how present sammy always is. i bet both john and dean always felt that way, and rarely said it. 'course when one of them did he got brained. *glares*

I'm so glad that Sam's presence struck a cord with you. I wanted him to be there, even prevalent in some ways, despite his physical absence. I'm delighted that this aspect of the story is working for you -- so far ;)

Glad too that John's awkward parenting is ringing right for you.

Thanks so much for this feedback. It's greatly appreciated :)
