They just broadcast that tonight on NBC (even though I already knew how it turned out). He had some nice dives and I thought of you. Who was that blond woman diver friend he planted a giant kiss on the lips on after his last dive? Lucky girl :)

I didn't catch the NBC coverage (though I've been watching a lot of it through the Games)... streamed the coverage live at work this morning with no sound (streaming's a no-no *g*) for maybe the last 3 rounds and then watched Canadian (CBC) coverage tonight since I knew we'd get decent interviews. 4 years ago his French accent was quite pronounced but now you'd barely be able to define it.

I'm actually not sure who that blonde was but agree that I think it may have been a woman diver, possibly Canada's Blythe Hartley who came 4th last week. I don't think it was his girlfriend, though I could be wrong. I've found pictures of her looking blonde and light/mousy brown. He mentioned the girlfriend's name during the interviews and so I looked her up (of course). She's a synchro swimmer competing there this coming week and apparently they've been together since last year. Tracy Little is her name and she's, not surprisingly, quite a pretty thing.
