Feb 01, 2010 12:18

Hello everyone! :)

Let's revive the comm. with a small challenge for February, the month of love! <3

The idea is simple: Take a couple (or more) of (premade) sims on a date , and share their experience with us.

The main rule: Be creative! ;)

- As long as the featured sims are ea/maxis premades, sims can be any age/gender and any version of ( Read more... )

Do all sims in the date have to be pre-mades? What if you have a couple (or a triple) with one non-premade?

(don't feel pressured to say yes--I have TONS of pure premade couples I can go to but just wanted to see if there was a loophole I could exploit)

Well, considering the rules are pretty open, I'd rather if all the sims are premades, BUT the main idea is being creative and to have fun, so it doesn't matter if you bend the rules a bit ;)

(specially if you do mean a trio... would it be two premades and one non, by any chance?? :P)

Maybe I'll do my trio as a bonus offering, then. That's kind of compromise (and yes, it's two premades and a non--how ever were you able to guess?)

I'm happy to see this new dare. I'm really in the mood for this kind of sim thing.

I changed the rules to "at least one premade" now, so bring what ever you have in mind! ;)

It'll give more to play around, and hopefully more people would want to do it too :) (things are very slow lately! lol)

I keep meaning to ask this: I play gender-reversed Pleasantview. Would that be ok?

And by pre-mades, I'm also assuming you mean playable pre-mades, not townies or dormies. But Linus Burb and his boyfriend are cute as a button :)

lol gender-reversed? That sounds a lot of fun, so Yes! of course!! ^_^

By premade I do mean mainly playables, but townies/dormies are welcomed too, and for this in particular I'll just leave with "at least one playable". (It opens more possibilities and it'd be fun to see what everyone does.)

Just curious: does said date have to be created just for this instance? Or is it possible to bring out stuff that's already been written in the past?

Yes, sure. As long as it includes at least one premade/playable sim, it's ok! :)

Hmmm, I can use Florence as a 'date guinea pig womrat' :)
This will be fun. :P

Yay, I'm pretty sure this is the first dare since I've been on LJ! I can participate :)

But here's another question, my ideas (I've already started, I couldn't contain my enthusiasm lol) also include the before/and getting ready for the date. Is that okay, or does it just need to be the actual date itself?

Also is it okay to do a Maxis couple, but from before the game starts?

uff yeah, we haven't post one of these in a months :O (but i'm feeling more enthusiastic lately, so hope it last lol)

Anyways ... YES! of course, two both questions. :)

As long as you, somehow, tell/show what happened in the date, and it includes at least one playable sim, take any approach you like. You can even make the sims younger, or older, or place them in other hood, or make it flashback, etc.

In general, the rules for all the dares/challenges are meant to give them a topic and some guidelines (because after all it would make no sense to say "Dare 16: do whatever you want, how ever you want!" XD), but no matter what, the main idea is always to simply have fun and play around with the premades. Nothing more, nothing less. We are not nitpicky or too strict about it. ;)
