or add the Crittur dogs to any of the bin-sims for example. In this case you must build for the total amount of sims in you combined household, for example The Goodie alone would be 2 so you could only use a small lot, but the Goodie with the Crittur dogs would be 4 so you could use a med. one.
I think you might've read my mind... >_> :D
And you know I totally agree with the plastic surgery rule. Real people tend to have a few other recognizeable things about them, but sims kind of only have their looks and some personality points to go by, so with a completely changed face it's very difficult to feel that it's the same character anymore, and takes away that 'Oh hey, that's *insert sim name* made over in a totally cool way!' instant recognition that's kind of essential for the community.
(The only pre-made sim I'd consider using a little bit of plastic surgery on is Matthew Hart... 'cause there's something totally messed up about his nose, his nostrils seem to sink into his head or something. >_>)
lol That's is true about Matthew, and I'd agree there are a couple of other sims that could probably use a bit of a fix (for whatever aesthetics reasons or when they look too much alike to others with the same template, etc), but then there's always the problem of how much and how far it should be allow. This way is just simpler and equal for everyone regardless of what we are doing. :)
(Though, now talking about, it could be interesting to do one challenge precisely about changing maybe "one" thing in a sim...*adds it to the list of ideas*)
Now I'm very curious to see what else are you planning, btw. My Crittur are already living with Cyd, but I've been considering combine the Goodie with the Newson lately, no to "adopt" them, tho, but to help them until the younger ones are bigger. (Somehow if feels right to me)
Yeah, I don't mind tweaking some of the sims who are straight face templates, especially if it's template 1/2. But for the dares, it makes sense to leave them alone.
I DO like your Dare idea, though! Maybe just one feature per sim, like eyes, or brow... And a rule about not changing it TOO much to the point of being unrecognizeable, like a big nose can be made smaller, but not small?
I've considered doing the Goodie/Newson thing too, but I like the challenge of the teens raising the four younger kids on their own. They put the Ottomas family to shame, as far as challenges go! As for my little project, the only families I've combined were the Goodies and Critturs... and mostly because I had to. I thought that'd make them not fit the dare anymore, so I was glad to see that additonal rule. :)
