I was just about to comment on the second chapter, when I noticed you posted a new one. I just wanted to tell you that I really like the story so far, and that I hope you'll continue it. :D I'm interested in seeing what you have planned for Draco, and also Snape (especially with Harry thinking in the previous chapter how weird it was for Dumbledore to beg...). By the way, I'm glad that you didn't make Draco change his mind about muggleborns all of a sudden - it would be weird. I really like the way you write him. :)

I am so glad you are posting this - I'm really enjoying it! Somewhat unrelated: I was re-reading SWAS today at work (shocker!) and noticed in your notes at the end of the first or second chapter that you said it was going to only be a few chapters wrong...it made me chuckle. :D

Oh wow, your Draco is so IC here! I did find the line about him being too busy attempting to kill Ron quite amusing. But then when he lashed out at Hermione after she slapped him, I had a difficult time liking him. Of course, his motivation was somewhat explained a short time later and his words, although still not acceptable, were understandable.

I really like the fact that Draco is not automatically likeable and that you have an excellent balance between making his character sympathetic and yet staying true to what has been seen of him in canon. His reactions to Harry's reasoning for him being there are especially IC.

In fact, everyone has been characterised perfectly so far and I am really looking forward to watching them develop.

*cough* I actually kind of like the Draco-living-with-the-Dursleys cliche... *hangs head in shame*... but yeah, I had confidence that you wouldn't be doing that here so I wasn't too hopeful worried. :P
