I loved the speed, the power and the independence they represented/provided. I can still appreciate the beauty of a finely designed automobile, even more the physical capabilities of a well engineered sports car. But I primarily see them as machines now. Got my new glasses last Thursday and had a scary moment where I walked out and everything was doubled. Fortunately, in a few minutes things had settled enough for me to drive. I just couldn't glance up at the moon as I did. By the next day all double vision was gone. So my theory is that the double vision came from my left eye getting lazy as it wasn't being used much.
