I used to love cars

I loved the speed, the power and the independence they represented/provided. I can still appreciate the beauty of a finely designed automobile, even more the physical capabilities of a well engineered sports car. But I primarily see them as machines now. The double vision was only when my eyes were working together, and even that at the edges of my field of vision. With just one lens it was more like monovision, so I just had to adjust for a lack of depth perception and be particularly careful about moving into the left lane.

Got my new glasses last Thursday and had a scary moment where I walked out and everything was doubled. Fortunately, in a few minutes things had settled enough for me to drive. I just couldn't glance up at the moon as I did. By the next day all double vision was gone. So my theory is that the double vision came from my left eye getting lazy as it wasn't being used much.
