I agree with what you said about Sophie's World. I'd have been happy enough reading all the philosophy lessons as a non-fiction book to be honest.

Hmm, I think I would have needed the narrative there, somehow. It's probably just my way of looking at things, but there are very few introductions to philosophy that I absorb much from. I found the philosophy gym really good, though, just as a practical way of looking at things;
