What is this "adjusting my schedule without his permission"? Does/did it have an impact to your job, or is he just being a micromanager?

Micromanager mostly. I'd forgotten that he'd made the rule actually. It's to force me to be on time.

Of course, I was working on getting the executive education students laptops working again, which counts as staying after to help a customer in my book. That's the only condition in which I'm "allowed" to alter my schedule without his direct permission.

Of course, he wasn't here to ask if I'd remembered anyway.
