Is it sad that I can recognize the muzak that plays in my office?

It's gone from Rod Stewart's "Do ya think I'm sexy?" to Phil Collins "Can't Hurry Love" and now "Puff the Magic Dragon" is playing.

No one understands why I'm smiling.

Once my mom had CNN on the tv and I found out that, apparently, they play Sugarcubes techno remixes when they go into and out of commercial breaks. o_O

Unexpected Muzak

I once heard Elvis Costello's "Allison" playing in an elevator. He's currently playing on a Visa Card Tour. Does that mean that his commercial sensibilities have become muzakified as well? What happened to "bite the hand that feeds me/make them wish they had never seen me"?
