some blathering

HeadacheI've had a headache again all weekend, which has made me realize after two weekends in a row of this that it must be because my routine is different. It's either to do with sleeping later/too much or my eating habits (I pretty much just graze all weekend and don't eat proper meals, especially if Jim's not home - which he wasn't). It wasn' ( Read more... )

Headache - you still might want to go to the docs about that, just to be sure.

M&Ds - Yay for good evenings and consideration. Good grandpa!

Jim - Say hi from random person for me *waves at Jim*

Knitting - Yay for you! Sounds like you are a lot further on then I am. I am having motivational troubles right now. And time problems (see resume and googling) When do we get pics?

I looked for you on MSN this weekend. Unfortunately, no you. :(

Have a good day!

I'm really not concerned about it, but am planning to mention it at my appointment next week at my check up. They're not serious headaches at all.

Knitting - I'm on the decreases in the crown, so yes, almost finished. Pics hopefully this week...

I was hardly on the computer at all; I didn't feel like being on much. Checked Immy a few times (mostly because of IMP) and the f-list a few times and that was about it.

Just make sure you mention it, for me.

BTW, you may have an even larger headache soon if you don't stop me from sashaying all over the bloody place! For God's sake woman! You've got me turned into a professional floozy sans brain and all! :P

Bah to the headaches - it may well be from too much sleep, though, if you're sleeping later. I often find that when I have a lie in I have a crappy, niggly fuzzy headache all day...

My Dad treid for ages to stop smoking. He eventually had hypnotherapy. One visit, three years ago. He stopped like that *snaps fingers* And he had been smoking 20-40 a-day for about 40 years!

Yay for your knitting - the upside is as it's fairisle, no-one'll notice the mistakes in the busyness of the pattern!

I really think you're right about the headaches.

Maybe I should suggest that to my dad as that's the same for him.

The bit with the mistakes isn't the part with the fair isle, but it'll be ok all the same, I think. Doesn't matter - I'll wear it anyway!

The smoking thing is worth a try - my Dad had tried all sorts of things to give up, and nothing worked. He was really sceptical about the hypnotherapy too, but Mum nagged him into it. One visit, and it worked!

I bet your hat looks great - and if anyone is picky, tell them it's MEANT to be like that, dammit! *grin*

Oh, and I have a bit of a favour to ask: I'm not sure how much I'm going to be about in the next few days, and the merry_smutmas sign-ups are Friday. If I email you my details, would you mind posting my request for me? Posting for someone else is allowed, and I really don't want to miss out!

'Course I can do that! I remember reading in your LJ that you were bummed you'd be missing the sign-ups.

Ah, OCS. Tres kewl, I hope he goes through with it and it's probably best if he do it sooner rather than put it off (applying and all that, I mean). My brother, who's been back in the service going on 3 years(?) now and has been on the OCS application plan all along (since he was at USNA for the full 4 years; long story), has had to one admin setback after another for getting the app in since, everytime he's got enough base time, he gets shunted to a new place. Hopefully Jim will have a better time of this what with the Reserves and all. Bro says you have to build up 'getting to know you' time at a command since rec letters from your COs are necessary and they tend not to want to rec you if they don't know you. The better your package is (awards, achievements, recs, personal statement), the more they like you. And there's an interview too before they send your packet along to the review committee. The good thing is that if they don't accept you on one go round, you can resubmit your packet immiediately since they select ( ... )

Your poor brother. :/ I will tell Jim all of that and ask if he wants to talk to him. Thank you! Now, we all know how utterly disorganized the military is, but his unit was extremely helpful on Saturday giving him all the information and whatnot about OCS and they said they will be more than happy to help him with all of it. So...*hopeful*. I'm not even sure when he's wanting to go into OCS training what with impending child and all.
