I saw AWE tonight...and I cried. I went to the first showing because I am going to my cousin's Bar Mitzvah.

Anyway, the first scene got me, because me being a pirate fanatic, the hanging of a child so young is unheard of, but I guess it was there to make a point.

Not seen it yet, but thoroughly spoiled.

Do we know she has to sit on the island? I mean, just because she's there ten years later doesn't mean she's been sitting there the whole time. I'm in Washington DC right this minute, but that sure doesn't mean I've been here every day for ten years!

Do we know that she can't guard the chest while moving it around? Is there any reason it can't be carried all over the place like the chest in DMC?

I'm sure she could have gone on adventures with her kid...she just had to be on the island when Will returned, I suppose she if didn't it would be a sign of her being unfaithful to him. We have no idea what she did for ten years besides give birth to her son. So far al we know she went off with her child and showed him the ocean, the world.

I never said she sat there all ten years, it's that we don't know if she did or didn't. Apart of me wants to say she didn't because of her son.

It's just 10 years later. It starts off with a child running and singing 'A Pirate's Life for me', he's wearing a tricorne hat and a waistcoat. He looks off to a cliff and then you see Elizabeth, she walked toward the boy and brings her close to her. They're staring out to the horizon and then a green flash. It's Will coming home to his family after ten years.

*Shakes head* I really hate the end of that movie- Yes, Will taking off the boot was sexy, as was, for some reason, the scar on his chest. The ending.. Gr. I just don't like it.

The scar was sexy? I didn't like it, I thought it was like Will having that earring, it made him look too much like a badass...which doesn't suit him.

I liked that island scene and that was the only part of the end. I didn't like Jack's end too much. I wasn't happy with the scene after the credits, but I was fairly ok with everything else.

I am a sparrabether myself and I still found myself crying at the Elizabeth/Will scene on the island. Oh and I cried when Will got stabbed, as much as I don't like him!
But I absolutely love this film! I was in tear of laughter in some places...but that could have just been because I wento see it with my best friend and we laugh about everything...

Whens the DVD coming out? I've already seen it twice and I wanna see it again!

I didn't cry at the island, I was in shock that it was Disney. It was quite a risk for Disney to include that sexual suggestiveness with Will and Elizabeth.

I did cry when Will was dying.

As for the DVD, I haven't even found a date, I can probably say it will be coming out for the holidays, since it would be most beneficial for Disney to do so...it was when DMC came onto DVD...but I would say November-December.

I've seen it five times in theatres...
