Like, oh, 90% of the women on LJ, I felt absolutely sick, reading this post, and the seven pages of comments that followed. I don't know anything about the original poster that he didn't write in this post, but for now that feels like enough. I am appalled at the extent to which this guy does not get it, does not get that it is not all right to ask

You're right, he just really doesn't get it. Am I good enough? Anything that turns any part of a body male or female into something "open source" for titillation is just so wrong on so many levels. It's an increasing trend I think. You may be also interested in this article from a few weeks ago in The Guardian, which raises an interesting discussion about the increasing use of naked women by charities in order to raise awareness

I haven't read the post yet (I will) but I can tell already that I'm going to agree with you 100% As someone who was well-endowed in high school, I hated being oogled, alone. Groped? Not unless you want to lose that hand, asshole!

ew ew ew. jesus. i have been surprised with myself that i have not been as angry about this as i would expect myself to be - mostly, i think, because i'm having trouble getting past the absurdity - but good lord is that revolting and patronizing and terrible. it always does end up being about power, doesn't it?
