I like how the staff always attaches some con to each power. The Hunger accompanied Intuitive Aptitude that Sylar has, Niki had the split personality, and now this shape shifting power has some physical pain.
Peter had the best power at the beginning of the first season. I get that he's going through a powered down phase but I hope he is juiced back up to his original levels at some point. I hope the same thing for Hiro.
I don't know if you ever heard of it before but Comic Book Resources conducts interviews from fan questions every Monday to two Heroes staffers and they give general hints for each question. "At some point" as you put it is a very good guess without me saying exactly what the staff said. They gave a general confirmation for when it would happen.
I didn't like Heroes as much as you did, it feels like they took the more interesting half of the cast and used them last week, the less interesting half is this week. I knew the episode was in trouble when Angela was my favorite character. Not saying it was a bad episode, the plots were pretty good, but I think it was a drop from last week's.
That was more of a slam to the protagonists like Nathan and Claire that they've been developed for years don't come off looking as good as Angela, who I didn't like for quite some time.
Claire's all right, I think but she hasn't been used to her full potential since season one. Nathan being unlikable is the natural progression of his character. I knew from the get-go this was going to happen.
