YES! I'm glad you finally saw Trouble in Tokyo, because it's SO the Teen Titans finale it's not even funny. I liked "Things Change", and I realize I'm in the minority, but I'm happy we got this DTV as a perfect finale to the series.
I still need to hear the cast sing the song. Isn't it the English translation of the Japanese lyrics? Whatever it is, it's pretty random, I admit.
And you know, it was predictable that the general was evil, but I didn't suspect Brushogan to be an unwilling participant. In any case, it was such a good movie, and Robin and Starfire kiss!!! TEEN TITANS GO!
THOSE are the Japanese translations of the lyrics? Wild. They ARE hilarious.
There was a reason I waited for this movie on DVD. TV airings of movies always cut off the credits and have bugs and crap. I'm REALLY glad I waited so I could see the entire movie in all of it's glory. You seriously need to get this on DVD and see it the way it was MEANT to be seen. Whoever decided to air it first on Cartoon Network instead of coming out with the DVD first is an idiot and just shot potential DVD sales in the foot.
I LOVED Robin and Starfire's kiss and the fact that they are now a couple. Robin was SERIOUSLY pissing me off in the middle of the movie when he was treating Starfire so poorly. I'm glad he FINALLY came to his senses.
I knew the Commander was evil too but I too was surprised at Brushogan's actual role. Neat.
I know you're right, but I couldn't wait, especially not for something like this. Although didn't they keep pushing back the release date? I thought it was originally supposed to come out last fall.
It was. This was pure stupidity on WHV and CN's part. They shot themselves in the foot with this one. I bet they'll be stupid enough to wonder why the sales for this "DTV" weren't as good as sales for previous ones. I hope they don't compare to sales of this movie and see them similar to Brainiac Attacks. But they ARE stupid enough to perhaps go there. I hope the sales for THIS movie were still good.
The location they used for Juliet's flashback was recognizeable even to me. It was the University of Hawaii's new Meidical School and our local mass transit company The Bus that killed Burke, talk about negative advertisement. Ironically, we're dealing with a surge in pedestrian deaths
( ... )
During the clips there was a saying that said something like "God loves you as he loved Jacob." This is another reference to the twin motif that keeps popping up. In the Bible, Jacob had a twin and yadda yadda.
It was before the winter break when the Others were arguing amongst themselves about Kate and Sawyer not even being on "Jacob's list."
After further thought, I think Mr. Albert, the recruiter from this episode may be Jacob.
Mittelos was the name of the biomedical firm that recruited Juliet. Obviously, it's a front for the Others.
