"Ever since South Park's Cartoon Wars I haven't been able to watch Family Guy and enjoy it as much as I used to." "To anyone who thinks Family Guy is better than the Simpsons... Just shut up. You're embarrasing yourself. I am REALLY upset at South Park right now because I CAN'T enjoy this show at all. Only the character stuff on this show is watchable and considering how dependant the show is on cutaways and how little the characters mean that isn't saying much. Yes, Stewie telling Brian to stop hitting on Lois was funny. But the lame Robin and gay Sulu jokes just weren't and those kind of gags seemed more prevelant. I don't know if I'll be able to watch this show this year. **1/2." NO! If you've seen through Family Guy (or more accurately: it has lost it's appeal and now you can't justify ever liking it) that's one thing. But don't give credit to South Park. It gives the impression that they were insightful rather than whiney and innaccurate.
Family Guy isn't bad because cutaways are bad. It's bad because the cutaways are bad.
It's been a long process and I was never thst crazy about Family Guy to begin with. But DANG every time I see a cutaway I think of Cartoon Wars. It jut pops into my head.
South Park sucks. I was able to enjoy Family Guy despite it's flaws and now I can'r. And for a show that has questionable messages every week the law of averages shows that once in a while they are bound to get it right. Jerks.

Oh, and did you get Galactica or not? I want to find out if you like it well enough for me to go to the trouble of getting Season 2 on Netflix and copying it. I'll do it, if you'll start watching Season 3 in October, but don't want to waste Netflix space if you won't.
My life would be much simpler if everyone in the world would watch Battlestar Galactica.
The Simpsons - I really enjoyed the episode. Felt the pacing was done pretty well (probably because, as you said, it's a new character and things we haven't seen before) and felt Marge's lines and even Julie's acting were a lot better than recently

You can never judge a comic by its cartoon (or live action series or movie for that matter). I'm kinda wondering what kind of impression of the comics the Teen Titans cartoon left on you.
The Terra arc made me think that the comic must have been hard-core when I heard how much was toned down. Even though the ending was a cop-out the story in the cartoon was STILL pretty devastating.
