Your posts have a weird way of filling my heart and emptying it at the same time, but no frowns on that note. The holidays have come and gone, and i'm sure you were missing ppl and home, but for some reasons these things don't fill me like they used to. I find myself feeling more and more disconnected from cb than i have before, and now i only travel from pei. Your posts however, about the adventure, the travel, the views, the food, the people . . . the experience that is what i crave. Funny hey, always wanting the other thing i guess, although truth be told i never really got that home sick. I was recently called a global citizen and that branding strikes me just as much as (maybe more so) my identity as a cape bretoner. But here i am back on the east coast, enjoying my time, making plans for possibly two more years here . . . is that right? am i ready to commit to that? will the travel lust dissipate from my eyes? i don't think so, if anything it grows more unrulely with time. Hands down my favorite part of this post was the line "alas I could not be a penguin." Gave me a right proper chuckle, that line ;)

Your Christmas vacation was awesome...makes mine look like crap...well, mine was crap but it seems even crappier knowing that somewhere out there people were spending there holiday's fighting with baboons, and diving with sharks! "Alas, I could not be Matt Dolmont!"
