Award

I just found out that I won the Inventor Award Program for 2006. Cool, huh? Odd, though, how I didn't invent anything, nor was I working here in 2006.

Actually, the date is on Saturday. I'll be meeting her at a local Barnes and Nobles for a drink and a walk through the stacks. :-) Now that's my kind of date!

This is such a big company that you work for that you don't even know the whos or whys of your award or who to ask where what?

Isabe!!!! *hugs*

It's good to see you again. I hope things are going well for you.

It's a multinational corporation that has tens of thousands of workers. As for the award, the packaging slip with it says 100 business cards, which arrived two weeks prior. :-) I have it on my desk just so I can laugh about it.

Is it multinational enough to get a transfer to Brussels? If so, forget trying to work for yourself and use the company to get to program instead of being in sales for yourself.

Actually, Isabe, I've been re-evaluating my goals. Earning any more degrees will become subgoals to these. Now, I want to have a family of my own. Either I get married or else I'll adopt. And I want to homeschool my kids. If I'm a single parent, I'll have to be making enough money to support all of us and still have time to teach them. Thus, my best option is to stay with my company, which does have an office in Brussels, until I get started with a business that I can support myself with, as well as get out of debt.
