For fuck's sake! If you are the sort of person that thinks a vector is a type of Vauxhaull, you are not the person who gets to send me logos for print. Pasting a JPEG into Word and exporting it as an EPS is not the answer.
Talk to your goddamn designer! Designers, do your fucking jobs and give people decent-quality logos and explain what they are

I've ended up having a really hard time trying to explain to my colleagues just *why*, for eg, they can't give me that cute wee 72 dpi 150px x 150px image they found on some random website and have me add it to their A0 research poster that they want to present at an international conference.

I am so looking forward to our up and coming rebranding so I can get grubby mitts on new Original files that make sense when I'm ordering stuff and things to be embellished with workitude.

Also annoying is the seeming inability of most people to comprehend what dpi means. Or my personal favourite: someone takes an 8 megapixel photo, then crops the shit out of it, and when it prints poorly, goes "but it's 8 megapixels! It should print...well!".
Also: at Dick Smith once, I heard an EMPLOYEE claim that their camera was capable of shooting photos with "10 million pixels per square inch". Sure, if you print it at 1x1" and your printer is CAPABLE of printing 10,000,000 dpi... >:#

Me: "Just make it 400×400."
Co: "72dpi?"
Me: "It. Doesn't. Matter."
Co: "So, 72, then? Or 100?"
Also:
Me: "We don't have those images for print."
Co: "Just use the ones off the website."
Me: "They're too small."
Co: "But... can't you just enlarge them in Photoshop?"
I swear I will explode in CMYK.

I found out that our biggest client had changed their logo by spotting the new one on a document they sent us.
It would have been nice to be involved in the design process, or to even be told, but we only design and run the Website.
In the end I did not even ask for a vector-image, as I knew I could do it quicker with paths in the Gimp!
