Neologism of the Day

Because the only thing more fun than learning a new word every day is making one up.

ambicurious: adj. conscious of a desire to discover how it feels to write or perform other tasks with the non-preferred hand.

I am supposed to be writing marketing copy (I KNOW WTF), but I can't work out where to start.

words, work

Start at the very beginning.

A very good place to start.

(since any actual advice I can give would be largely redundant and/or cvome across as condescending)

What would you call desirous to write upside down and/or backwards?

Marketing copy for any purpose ajkiwi January 15 2007, 04:04:29 UTC
(1) "Buy our stuff/service/people. It's/it's/they are really good, we think."
(2) Repeat with minor variations.

Actually, I think that's pretty much every brochure I've ever read.

See, that copy fails because it doesn't involve the reader: really, it ought to be something along the lines of "we understand you have a problem with X: that's why we came up with Y".

Shouldn't it? I don't know, you're the one with the marketing degree.

Anyway, I'm writing a case study, which is basically "these guys knew they were sucking, and now they are awesome". The problem is that I wasn't here when we did the work, so I don't know any of the background.

You're just an unhappy, disillusioned, undisciplined, maladjusted, ambicurious young man.

How long do you think you can make that list of adjectives on closing night without losing it?

Oh, boy...that and the "is this a scalpel?" scene are, like, just pure excuses to just jam.

Pretty long, I hope. As long as I keep them all negative, I should be able to K.I.T. keepittogetherkeepittogetherkeepittogether.
