I have officially quit the band.

It was pretty mutual, I think. We'd both like to try just being friends eventually, but for now we're just not going to see each other for a while. I think that's best.

After a while, it won't hurt so much. You'll see them walking down the street and all you'll remember are the good times. And you'll wish them the best of luck and hope they end up with someone really great.

Glad it went okay. These sorts of things aren't always fun to deal with. Sort of like quitting a job (or breaking up with someone, obviously :P), but you'll be better for it and so will they.

Unless you guys composed a song together. In which case, it's going to turn into a nightmare over who gets to sing the song, whether you can take it on tour and what to call the song...
