so in the interest of constant change and learning, i have deleted most of my past livejournal entries. i found many of them immature and rambling, and even moreso embarassing. they also posed a potential for incrimination. i am excited to realize how much i have matured in five (read: FIVE!!!) years. i still have a long way to go ( Read more... )

I understand about wanting to remove embarrasing posts but I think they also should have been kept as they are a part of your life too...maybe not one you would like to remember...but something you can still look fondly at later in life. I think to myself about some odd and/or strange things I've done or am still doing and just shake my head and laugh...silly humans.

dude i agree with you. i tried to tell him to just privatize them all... b/c that would have taken the same amount of time and he coulda looked back on them. but at the same time if it is a part of your former self that you do not want to be reminded of... then maybe it is better to delete. im wondering the same thing about ex-bf emails. they take up so much rooom... i could save myself the time and just delete them, OR i could save them to have for later. hmmmm so tricky life is.
