To note, if you are looking at all at the Nexus S, the Google/Android... We have been trying one around the house, and the wifi range is crap. We have another friend with one who reports the same. Just in case wifi is important to you at all! Crash ended up trading his Torch for a Bold.
I have the HTC Evo and I love it! I use maps/navigation frequently. The apps I have work consistently (but I do my homework before I download and read the reviews). Calendar syncs with my gmail calendar which is a great feature. Phonebook can also sync with their FB.
The only issue I was having was the battery life, but I bought an extended life battery about a month ago and it's much better now.
I have a BB so can't comment on this but you should ask Chris about his Milestone, he likes it a lot. Don't think he'll see this though so you should maybe drop him an email seadecline at gmail
I have a Motorola Droid 2 Global for work and it is great! The slide out keyboard is a real plus. Google Nav is even better than my dedicated GPS unit and, unlike the iPhone nav program, is free. I splurged and got a dock for at my desk and in the car. Like most smart phones, battery life is squat if you use it a lot (the nav feature really drains it), but the docks help keep me topped off.
