Hoosier in a Strange Land (revisited)

Living in SEC/ACC country means that I don't get to watch IU play San Diego St. because it's at the same time as the Duke vs. Southern game. The only consolation is that I get to watch the Dukies and their fans pee their pants as Southern gives them a clinic on defense in the second half. With 17:44 to go, the Jags have cut the lead to 2.

So - if Southern could have hit anything outside of two feet, they would have won last night. The only play that seemed to work was their driving to the hoop for a layup.

Got to watch the last three minutes of the IU game. WOW! That's all I can say. Earl Calloway stepped it up in a big way. Vaden was clutch, as usual. What a shot to take the lead at the end of the game! It was one of those plays that makes you want to stand up and shout at the top of your lungs. Unfortunately, that shot was taken after midnight - no shouting for me, since everyone was asleep.

Good thing he could play while injured. The Hoosiers now have 19 wins. 17 of them have been come-from-behind. That's insanity. Looking forward to tomorrow's game.

Bring on the Zags!

Yeah, is it just me or have the Hoosiers played awesome since Davis announced his retirement?

It seems to me that this is evidence that they gave up on him more than they couldn't take the pressure of his job security. They can obviously play under pressure.

Maybe Mike Davis needs to quit again at halftime of today's game against Gonzaga.
