If I could wish for anything? I'd want my dad back.

I know that makes me sound like a kid, but I don't care. I was a kid. I wasn't--I don't think anyone is ever prepared to lose a parent, but--I wasn't ready. Not then. Especially not like that ( Read more... )

No, I don't think you would ever have CHOSEN to be Daredevil if your dad had not died the way he did. In fact, I doubt it would have ever crossed your mind.

Did you ever find any kind of surrogate father-figure? A mentor type? I know that the Professor and Mr. Lehnsherr sort of filled that gap for me.

Mentor, yes. Surrogate father-figure? Not really. I don't think anyone could come close to taking my dad's place.

From the admittedly little I know about Xavier's, sounds like you have quite the family, there. I mean that in a good way. Must be nice, that kind of support.

Sure... But things at Xavier's aren't always one happy family. Not since Mr. Lehnsherr left, anyway. People keep dying or going nuts or joining the Brotherhood. It's not exactly Little House On The Prairie.

But I wouldn't give it up for the world ;-)

No one should ever have to lose a parent before adulthood. Children aren't prepared to face the world alone, and they certainly shouldn't be exposed to that degree of violence.

I do think the world is a better place because you are there to help protect it. But we all have that one thing we would give up the costume for, and no one could begrudge you yours.
