I liked the very strong parallels being drawn here. The motives weren't that much different...an eye for an eye leaves us all blind when it's all said and done. :-)
Oddly enough, that line "an eye for an eye" isn't so much about validating revenge as it might be about limiting it. That if all you lost was an eye, you can't take a man's life. That if you lost a tooth, then you can only take one in return. Would be nice if that was more often how it was seen.
I will admit that while I like the resolution here, and the ending is very powerful, I find myself wanting to know if Tony did recover or not. Mostly because I'm a detail kind of girl. And I like having those things spelled out.
