Anyway, yeah, I figured it was just added today but I wasn't sure. I don't think I knew about the similar 18th anniversary one until a few days afterward. :)

LOL! I had just logged onto my friends feed and it must have been pretty close to when you posted too. I thought the LJ anniversary one was pretty cool too.

You should read the news post about the little infographic. Boy are people salty over it. I get not wanting LJ to feel like Facebook but I honestly don't think it's like Facebook.

I'm not going to read the news post. The comments would probably make me depressed again. :(

I like Facebook (though not as much now that it's become a lot harder to avoid posts I don't like reading, like political ones), so I don't mind this or LiveJournal's likes feature. :)

On the other hand, I can't say I'm fond of LJ having hashtags now (well, not now now, but whenever they added it, which I think was this year) because I personally feel like hashtags only belong on Twitter. And it's annoying that uses of the # symbol in old entries/comments are often automatically made into hashtags, even useless ones like #1 or #9 - I've actually been replacing number signs with sharps in some of my entries/comments (e.g. ♯1) because of it. Even this is just a minor annoyance for me, though - I definitely wouldn't leave LJ just because of it. :)
