I think Tennis is dropped now, and as for your roommate, just ignore him and tell him you aren't really interested in that subject. He kind of gets obsessive and goes off on tangents so while I don't think he's deliberately antagonizing you, obviously it's bothering you. So if he brings it up again, why not say something like you just remembered you need to finish homework/laundry/insert random thing here and then go in your room or out for a bit.

It seems like he understands now - Thursday night, he showed me a video that he thought I'd like better (and I did!) Since he actually said he thought I'd like it better than some of the other things he'd showed me, I took the opportunity to point out that the last time he brought up Game Theory, I ended up staying up until 2 or 3 just standing there thinking about all he'd said about Game Theory. He apologized and said he wasn't trying to give me a hard time this semester and that (in his words) he was "a jerk" and "not [him]self" last semester.

And yesterday, we played Super Smash Bros. Wii U together for a while and he didn't even mention Game Theory or anything like it in passing, not even when I played as Mario or Peach (or any other Mario character)!

It seems like he understands now, but then again, I also thought so last semester...
