My foot's stuck, I'm bubbling*

5,330 words in Moya's Space Log now. And still no Stars. If the D&D-style boards I've been making take a while to play through with only four enemies, imagine how long bosses and Cosmic Clone missions (which I will actually have to use the boards for) will take!

Current progress towards word count goal:

"Follow me!" shouted the Luma, showing no concern.
-Those Lumas sure can be insensitive. :) Actually, everyone in video games can be. They show no concern when someone gets killed or eaten. :)

"WAHHHHH-HO-HO-HO!!!" he screamed. Poor guy.
-Aw. Luigi should get to date Moya since Mario is dating Princess Peach (when she isn't making babies with Bowser!)

"Help me!" he called, shaking the bubble over towards us. We moved over to give him some room to land, and Mario popped the bubble.
-This reminds me of the many times that we have all ended up in bubbles at the same time. I tend to panic if I play and bubble myself, and then someone else dies and we are both trapped in bubble-land.

"pathvain_aelien told me about a time that her foot got stuck in a hole in the couch while she was playing NSMBW with Stephen, and she said, "My foot's stuck. I'm bubbling." :D"
I was just about to remind you of that!

I think it would take a lot longer to make video games if video game companies tried as hard as they could to make NPCs always show concern when someone gets killed, though. :)

As much as I want to ship Mario/Enya and Luigi/Moya in this story, I don't like fanmade pairings that break up canon pairings (in this case Mario/Peach, Luigi/Daisy, and Moya/Tim Jarvis [which technically is a "real life" instead of "canon" pairing since Moya and Tim are real people, but still]). Oh well...

Also, about the making babies with Bowser part: (SUPER MARIO SUNSHINE SPOILER: Since I never actually beat Super Mario Sunshine, I didn't find out until I read the mariowiki.com article that at the end of the game, Bowser admits to Bowser Jr. that Peach isn't his real mother [and Bowser Jr. says that he knew so all along].EDIT: Ignore this edit ( ... )
